Illustrations for the Brochure of Diamond Telecom.co

A couple month ago, I did five-spot-illustrations for the brochures of Diamond Telecom.co, working with a designer and an art director from well design co., in Tokyo. Using pen and ink for lines and digital for colors for medium was my not recent style and it took me a while to get a tip.  Here is the final image and I am gladly showing you. Thank you.

数ヶ月前の事ですが、ウェルデザインのデザイナーさんからお仕事を頂き、ダイアモンドテレコムの企業内パンフレットのイラストレーション５枚を描きました。ペンとインクを使ってパソコンで色をつける描き方は最近やってなかったので感覚をとりもどすのに時間がかかりました。先月出来上がったパンフレットを頂きました！

Met two of my heroes!

It was a memorable and the very best day of 2016 yesterday for me! I had a lunch with two of my heroes and other talented illustrators in Tokyo. I haven't met and known Japanese illustrators living in Japan much and I had a great opportunity to exchange conversation with them. My hero, my mentor, and my sister (secretly in my heart) gave me her book before sale in Ireland! Also another hero gave me the box of cookies that he worked for the package illustration. They were all successful illustrators except me and I was a bit nervous before the lunch...but they were all friendly and the conversation with them encouraged me to work more and more. 

A illustrator friend of mine living in New York told me that success is different for everyone take yours as it comes and you will be there soon... yes, he is right. 

Personally I have having a hard time since last week, but the meeting gave me positive energy and I do appreciate for this great opportunity. 

THE21

THE21というビジネス雑誌のイラストを担当しました。担当した記事は”ストレスゼロの英語勉強法”で、とても面白かったです。今、書店にならんでいるので時間があったら手に取ってみてください。

I took charge of illustration in the business magazine of THE21. The article of my illustration is "How to learn English without any stress" and I found it very interesting. This magazine is now on sale in book stores and I wish you to have a look at it, if you have a time.

Resort image

Here is the resort illustration I did for an organization last year, but it ended up as a killed job unfortunately. However, this image became one of my favorites in 2015. And I still have a good relationship with a wonderful art director who gave me this job. Oh, I need such relaxing vacation...

FamilyCircle Magazine, July issue

tram magazine (Online magazine)

tram magazine is all about a tram and slow life in Tokyo especially along Toden Arakawa line. The chief editor of the magazine is a friend of mine whom I met at School of Visual Arts in New York city. Then I became a contributor of the magazine as an illustrator to make portraits of writers.  I am very honored by that.

Salon Hanano

 A talented hair stylist and my very supportive friend opened his own hair salon at Minami Aoyama. Salon Hanano.  I met him in New York city and he was very serious to what he did but very funny ( yes he was often talking about Doraemon to me.)  One day, he asked me to have one of my illustration works.
After I moved back to Japan, and when I had a show at a gallery in Shinjyuku in 2013, he showed up on the opening night.  I haven't seen him since then, but what I was surprised is that he put the print of my illustration in his salon. I was so overwhelmed when I saw the picture of his salon.

THE 21

I did some illustrations for Japanese Business magazine, THE 21, May issue. I draw many business scenes with a bunch of business men. My working experience at a corporation in Tokyo may help me to create those images. There is nothing of wasted about our life! If you get a chance, please take a look at the magazine at bookstores. Happy New Year 2015, The Year of Sheep!!

Wishing you Love, Joy and Laughter in 2015! My new-year-resolution of 2015 is trying new things when I get a chance without hesitation. I can't tell yet, but I have an exciting assignment, which gives me a challenge. Hope it works well-! First things first, I should make more illustration works and change my lifestyle. image: New Years card, Client: My dad and mom ;)

Here is the spot illustration I made for FamilyCircle Magazine, pet section. I coincidentally visited New York City in August and could buy the september issue of the magazine! I was truly glad when I saw the magazines with my illustration inside were on the bookstand of Barns and Noble! Thank you for the great assignment, AD Ms. Alida Masuck.

This flower design was for the design project for Japanese fashion brand last year, but it was't accepted. The other daisy design was accepted and it came out for the products now. Then it became my personal piece!

Here is a spot illustration I did for FamilyCircle magazine, article about Great Pet Apps. Editorial illustration is what I would like to work for the most and animal. This assignment made me happy from the begging to the end. Thank you so much AD Lisa Kelsey. You can see the article from here.

Happy New Year 2014!

Happy New Year, 2014! I paid a visit to TAMON-In near my house on the New Year's day with my family. The atmosphere was so solemn and I felt so blessed. Last year, I met many wonderful people through Illustration work, howver I had been very busy dealing with duties not related to Art field at the same time. I will focus on more illustration job in 2014!

I went to TOCCA,Aoyama to buy a bunch of "the TOWELS" for Christmas gifts for my friends. They were all displayed beautifully.... All required exams has done this week and I do not care the result at this moment. I am simply happy to be able to use day-offs for creativity!

Escaping from studying for an exam coming next week, I visited shrine near my home. Autumn leaves were at their peak and it was amazing! I consulted a written oracle and it said that I would have the best of luck!!
